So, today after a school field trip to the pumpkin patch....
We carved pumpkins. Last year I did it by myself with the boys observing, but this year I decided to shake things up a bit.
After cutting the tops off the pumpkins, I let the boys scoop the inside out. I thought they would tire of it much sooner than they did, but they hung in there pretty good. They enjoyed getting their hands down in the pumpkins. It was ooey-gooey. Cooper really prefered to use his spoon. He doesn't reallylike to get his hands all sticky!!!This is gross Memaw!
See how much I got Memaw!!!

I think I'll just use my spoon now.

I carved them out for the boys. Thomas's pumkin is the one on top. It only has 2 teeth. He said that's because he has two loose teeth! I am not ready for him to loose his baby teeth, but that day is coming soon. Their looks change so much. He really will be a big boy then won't he? He is excited, he has several friends that have begun to lose their teeth.
Cooper and David wanted scary faces. That's about as good as I can get with a paring knife.

Can you tell which one is tired, sleepy, crabby, fussy and doesn't want to wait til after supper to eat his ice cream from the ice cream truck???

It was another blessed day. Soon to have more when my Mom and Daddy will be here with us. I am looking for that day!
Blessings Memaw Barbie

Oh, Barbara! What precious pictures..I'm so grateful that you share, along with me, the pleasure received from "picture-taking"...capturing these precious times that can be shared and treasured in later years...you won't regret it!
I love you...and am so excited at the prospect of the construction of our "cabin" getting underway.

Great memories!! Sounds like Cooper and Sam are alike, he would rather use a spoon to scoop all that yucky stuff cause he's not a fan of getting his hands all yucky either :)
Looking forward to goin to tate farms with Laura and the boys today!!
