I have had an extremely busy weekend. Most of my weekends are more relaxing.....but we have been preparing for Open House/Customer Appreciation at our salon this week. Our Open House serves two purposes. One is a customer appreciation thingy. We have lots of good food (all my friends are great cooks and help with this event) including all the staff at the salon. We also offer a 20% discount on our AVEDA haircare, skincare and make-up. People really stock up on their products at this time. It is a small way to say thank you to our loyal clients. It is also a kick off for the Christmas shopping season. We have a small gift shop and we have all of our Christmas items for sale at this time.
I started with our Christmas Tree. This I have to have alot of help with. First my husband brings the tree to the shop and we hang our tree upside down!!!! It sounds kind of strange, but really it saves alot of space and it is quite a conversation piece. Actually your ornaments show up much better also. We kind of have a theme to our tree. It consists of crosses and angels. My best friends Juju and Lorie spend Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon helping me accomplish this task. You really know who your friends are when there is work to be done. This is the before......... This is the after picture. What do ya think?
We have a really good turn out for Open House. We offer something for the mature client.....

and also for the youngest clients. Isn't that the sweetest thing you ever saw?

Some people come to enjoy the live music featuring Shane Adkins.
Some come for good fellowship.

They are so silly.

Shopping is a plus...
Eating is a must.

I think she really likes that boy.

Girls just want to have fun. Join us if you can. Saturday November 8 and bring a friend.
Blessings Memaw Barbie
