All in a day...

Shaving with a spatula...
After playing with the shaving cream...
of course I had to get some on my face....
Is he beautiful or what???

Another beautiful babe.....

Am I really supposed to get this on my hands?
Kids are so easily entertained. We played inside all day because it is far too cold to go outside for any amount of time at all. We water painted and finger painted with shaving cream. The boys of course had to put some on their faces. I just put them in the tub afterwards. It occupied them for a while.

Cooper has had a really bad cough since Sunday night. Laura said he had not slept well at all because of it for the last two nights. He started running a fever last night so we went to the doc today. She thought he might have the flu, or possibly strep throat so they checked him for both and both were negative. She felt like she needed to rule out pneumonia so off we went to the hospital for a chest xray. The doc said I could go thru admitting if we got there by 5 pm so I drove a little faster than normal. If we didn't make it by 5 we would have to go thru the E.R. I did not want to do that. I thought we would be there for hours and hours if that happened. As it happened I hit every light on green all the way to the hospital. I was feeling really good about making it by 5. When we got to the hospital I grabbed the first parking spot I came across ( it was really busy ) I snatched Cooper out of the carseat and ran thru the parking lot at the hospital. I got to the admitting desk at four minutes before 5!!! I could barely talk I was so out of breath. Cooper was practically lifeless from fever too. The two ladies behind the desk said I would have to go to the E.R. tho they were thru for the day!!! Can you believe that. I was livid. I said "my doctor told me if I was here by 5 I would be able to go thru admitting and it's not 5 yet!!" They said again "you'll have to go thru the e.r." I complained to the lady in the e.r. that was admitting us and she asked me who sent us from admitting and looked at the clock and said it is not 5 o'clock yet. Anyway, we were allowed to go straight to radiology and they took us right back. We were out of there in about 15 minutes. I was really glad. My son in law had met me there so I was glad to have some backup.

The doc called about an hour and a half later and said Coopers lungs were all clear. She said there is some kind of semi-flu something or other and he could possibly have that. We were all glad he was clear. Hope he feels better tomorrow. Oh well, all in a days work.

I'm so glad that his lungs are clear. Did you have to take David and Thomas with you on your trek to the hospital? Thanks for the pictures on kodak...that way I can save them..
Love you,
Momma

I dropped Thomas off at the shop and David picked him up and took him home. Ben made it to the house about 5 minutes before I left for the dr. and he was still taking a nap, so Ben stayed at the house until Little David woke up.

You are the best MeMaw!! Wow!!

Thanks for all the encouragement!

I KNOW it will all work out...going through this stuff is not fun!! Somehow we have been able to keep our sense of humor!

Cobra is $899 a month! We used to have Blue Cross when we owned our business before...it doesn't cover well care and that really confounds me! My daughter told me about a group of Christians that got together and started a group plan...going to search that out. Plus the Chamber of Commerce has a discounted Blue Cross plan. We have until Feb 28th.

You have been a sweet heart and I thank you!!
